Why this blackboard earns its place
210 x 320 mm is the middle size, and it earns its place by being readable from a few paces rather than only from the chair in front of it. That changes what it is for: this is the board for a bar top, a shelf edge, a counter beside the till or the end of a long table, where people read it walking past rather than sitting at it. It also holds more than a single line — three or four desserts with prices, a short coffee list, the specials of the day — while still standing on a table of six without dominating the covers.
The full-width base gives it a stable stance across the whole width, which matters more at A4 than it does on a smaller board because there is more surface for a passing sleeve to catch. The handle hole means it moves in one hand, so the same board can work the counter through the day and go out to a function room in the evening. Both faces take writing, so tomorrow's list can be prepared on the back while today's is still standing. Painted MDF is cleaned dry or barely damp — it belongs on a counter, not in the wash-up, and standing it on a wet section is how a board loses its edges.
