The memory function remembers your last setting, so you're not readjusting brightness and colour every time you switch a lamp on.
Charging is via USB on the included base, which also works as the charging dock. Utopia's optional multiple-contact charging shelf (FU996, sold separately) charges all six simultaneously—the kind of detail that saves 15 minutes of logistics at shift change.
