Why this display stand earns its place
A two-tier counter top display stand set in oak, finished Amberley Grey. What it does for a counter is give it a second level, and a second level is what stops a display collapsing into one flat line the moment a customer stands more than a couple of metres away.
Height is the number that matters here: 476 mm. That is a genuine step up rather than a token lift, enough to bring the top tier into the sightline of someone walking in and to leave usable clearance under it so the lower level still holds its own. The 212 mm depth is what makes it liveable on a working counter. Two display levels come out of a narrow strip of surface, and the stand can be pushed back to a wall or the rear edge of the run, so the space you actually serve from is untouched.
The Amberley Grey finish is a cooler, greyed oak — the grain is still legible but the tone sits back. That is useful on a counter carrying a lot of colour, because a warm timber can end up competing with the food for attention while a grey one lets bright cakes, breads and packaging do the work. Underneath the finish it is solid oak, which is what keeps a loaded top tier steady and stops the whole thing shifting when a guest reaches in. Clean it as timber: clear the tiers, damp cloth, dry it off, keep it out of standing water.
