Why this gastronorm earns its place
The Vogue U471 is a 1/6 gastronorm container built from virtually unbreakable polycarbonate — the same material used in commercial riot shields — so it survives the daily knocks of a busy brigade without cracking, chipping or warping. At 150 mm deep it holds a full 2.4 litres, giving you the capacity of a standard sixth-pan with the headroom to portion soups, sauces, prepped veg or protein without spillage.
Polycarbonate's real kitchen superpower is its temperature range: −40 °C to 100 °C. That means the same pan goes straight from blast freezer to combi oven (or bain-marie) without transferring contents. It stays cool to the touch even at temperature, so chefs can move it bare-handed during service — no cloths, no burns, no slowing down. The material is fully dishwasher-safe and designed to drip-dry fast, cutting turnaround time on the wash-up.
At 162 × 176 mm footprint it sits perfectly in any GN-compatible rack, trolley, combi oven or prep table. The black finish hides stains from tomato, curry or beetroot prep, and the pan nests neatly with its siblings when empty. Vogue moulds the corners with a slight radius so product releases cleanly and the pan stacks without vacuum-locking. Gross weight is just 230 g, so a full stack of empties is still light enough to move one-handed.
