Why this gastronorm earns its place
A 1/3 GN is the workhorse fraction on any combi rack or prep table — wide enough for a joint of roast meat, narrow enough to slot beside a pair of 1/6 pans without gaps. At 150 mm deep the U234 holds 5.1 litres, so you get a full hotel pan of sauce, a batch of cooked rice or a morning's worth of chopped veg in one container that still lifts cleanly when loaded.
Vogue mould these in premium polycarbonate rather than cheap copolyester. The difference shows up three months in: no stress cracks at the corners, no yellowing from repeated blast-chill cycles, and the material stays cool to the touch even when the baffle hits 100 °C — your line cooks can pull a pan from the combi bare-handed. The raised lip seats securely on combi rails, trolley runners and bain-marie ledges without rocking, and the crystal-clear walls let a chef confirm stock levels at a glance during a busy service.
Lids are sold separately (Vogue polycarbonate or stainless steel both fit the 1/3 GN flange), and the pan is fully dishwasher-safe with a drip-dry design that sheds water in seconds. It's also freezer-safe to –40 °C, so the same pan moves from bulk prep in the blast freezer straight to the pass without a decant. For a catering operation that turns pans over three times a day, that single-piece workflow saves hours every week.
