Why this gastronorm earns its place
The Vogue U458 is the shallow half-pan in the range — 65 mm deep, 3.8 litres, half the footprint of a full GN (325 × 265 mm external). It's the pan you reach for when you need portion control, sauce stations, mise en place lines or a cold-well spread of toppings, condiments and prepped garnishes. Moulded from virtually unbreakable polycarbonate in professional black, it takes the knocks of a busy pass without cracking, crazing or chipping.
Temperature performance is the polycarbonate promise: -40 °C in the blast freezer straight through to 100 °C in a steam table or combi oven. The material stays cool to the touch even when the contents are piping hot, so your team moves pans bare-handed during service — no towel fumble, no burnt wrists. It's dishwasher safe, designed to drip-dry fast, and stacks without vacuum-locking so turnover between turns stays quick.
At just 0.42 kg it's feather-light, yet rigid enough to hold its shape under a rich demi-glace or a pan of roasted vegetables. The black finish hides stains from reductions, curries and tomato bases that would bleach white pans over time, keeping presentation clean for front-of-house cold wells and salad bars. Vogue stamps the GN size and capacity into the mould so there's no confusion when the half-pans are nested three deep on a prep trolley.
