Why this gastronorm earns its place
The Vogue U455 is a full 1/1 gastronorm container (530 × 325 mm) with a 100 mm depth, giving you 13.12 litres of usable capacity — the classic mid-depth GN pan that handles everything from bulk soup and sauce runs to roasted vegetable trays and cold salad prep. It's moulded from virtually unbreakable polycarbonate in a professional black finish, the material commercial kitchens trust because it doesn't crack when a frozen block hits a hot bain-marie or when a pan gets knocked off a rack during a busy service.
Temperature performance is where polycarbonate earns its keep. This pan runs from -40 °C in the blast freezer straight through to 100 °C in a steam table or combi oven without warping, crazing or leaching. The material stays cool to the touch even when the contents are piping hot, so your team can move pans bare-handed during service — no towel fumble, no burnt wrists. It's dishwasher safe and designed to drip-dry fast, stacking neatly without vacuum-locking so turnover between turns stays quick.
At 1.21 kg it's still light enough for one-handed handling when full, yet rigid enough to hold its shape under a heavy bolognese or a deep tray of lasagne. The black finish hides stains from tomato-based sauces and curries that would bleach white polycarbonate over time, keeping the presentation clean for front-of-house buffet lines. Vogue stamps the GN size and capacity into the mould so there's no guessing which pan is which when the rack is stacked six high.
