Why this draining shelve earns its place
The Vogue polycarbonate drainer plate is a simple but essential add-on for any kitchen running full-size 1/1 GN polycarbonate gastronorm trays. It sits inside the tray at 18 mm high, creating a full 325 × 530 mm drainage deck that keeps roasted joints, whole fish, steamed vegetables or thawing proteins clear of the liquid that drains off them — so food holds its texture and presentation instead of sitting in a puddle. At 0.53 kg it lifts out one-handed with no tools required.
Built from virtually unbreakable polycarbonate, the plate handles the temperature extremes of a working kitchen without cracking: freezer-safe to –40 °C for blast-chill and frozen storage, heat-resistant to 100 °C for hot-holding and bain-marie use, and fully dishwasher-safe for rapid turnaround cleaning. The material stays cool to the touch even when the tray comes out of a hot cabinet, so staff can handle it safely without waiting for it to cool. Polycarbonate also drip-dries fast, cutting turnaround between service periods.
Each plate weighs 0.53 kg and measures 530 mm long by 325 mm wide by 18 mm high — sized precisely for the internal deck of a 1/1 GN polycarbonate tray. The black finish is neutral in service and doesn't show staining from oils or sauces. Being polycarbonate rather than metal, there's no risk of denting, corrosion or sharp edges developing over time, and the material is food-safe for direct contact.
