Why this saucepan earns its place
This 16cm saucepan is a compact copper pan with a 160 mm diameter and 1.6 litre capacity, making it a useful size for smaller batches and tighter cooking spaces. It is part of De Buyer's Inocuivre range, where the emphasis is on control, presentation and strong heat response.
De Buyer says the pan's 90% copper construction gives excellent thermal performance, with even temperatures and rapid heat-up. That makes it well suited to sauces and other work where the pan needs to react quickly rather than sit and soak heat.
The brass handle adds a refined finish and supports the pan's oven-to-table appeal. It is clearly intended to do more than just sit on the hob: it is a piece of cookware that can move neatly from cooking to serving.
