Why this whiskey glasse earns its place
The rocks glass is the workhorse of a serious bar — smaller than a hi-ball, built for spirits neat or with a single ice cube, and sized right to showcase the drink itself. These New Era rocks tumblers are 260ml, which is the classic spirits measure. The embossed detail catches light around each glass, giving the drink visual presence without fussiness.
Like all New Era pieces, these are built from Xtratuff-hardened glass, so the material itself is tougher than standard tumblers. Thermal shock won't crack them; mechanical shock won't shatter them on the first dropped ice cube. The stacking ring sits in the glass body rather than nesting rim-to-base, which means your rims stay intact after hundreds of stack-and-unstack cycles. In venues where you're handling glasses constantly, that detail matters.
The proportions are tight: 94mm tall, 82mm diameter. They're dense enough to feel substantial in hand — no flimsy glassware sensation — but compact enough to fit the bar without monopolizing space. At 260ml they're not so small they feel precious or difficult to pour reliably, but not so large they dilute the spirit or confuse the serving size.
