Why this tumbler earns its place
The highball is the mixer glass—taller than a rocks, narrower than a tumbler, sized for drinks where the spirit is a smaller part of the whole. A standard highball is 25–40 ml spirit topped with mixer and ice, leaving the 35 cl glass nicely balanced: full-looking but not crowded. The Vento's panelled design adds visual weight and masks condensation that would show on plain glass, which matters on a busy bar where a wet counter is standard.
Soda-lime glass handles the temperature shift from ice water and holds cold longer than you'd expect. The panelling is also functional—it grips better in a wet hand and reads as thoughtful without adding cost. At this scale, you can run highballs all night without the thin feel that smaller glasses create.
This is the glass for gins and tonic, vodka sodas, rum and cokes, and any cocktail where the mixer volume exceeds the spirit. One glass covers all of them.
