Why this ramekin earns its place
Stoneware ramekins from Churchill's Igneous range work harder than they look: the exposed stoneware base sits stable on any surface, while the glazed interior handles repeated heat and washing. At 100 mm and 150 ml, this size bridges the gap between a small sauce dish and a full dipping bowl — large enough for a composed starter or sauce course, compact enough to stack three deep on the pass.
The stoneware construction retains heat evenly from oven to table, making it a natural fit for hot applications: baked cheese, crème brûlée under the torch, or ramekins pulled straight from the water bath. Underglaze patterning stays intact through years of service because the glaze is applied before the final fire. Stacking is inherent to the design; Churchill sizes each width so ramekins nest cleanly without chipping or catching.
