Why this plate earns its place
The 178 mm plate is the smallest full plate in commercial service: bread plate, side order, or a small amuse. It stacks deeper than a 228 mm (fifty plates to 20 cm), which matters when you need rotating sets through a service. The triangular glaze pattern keeps it modern without demanding attention; it works across restaurant, hotel, and care settings equally well.
At 0.352 kg, these are lightweight porcelain—thin walls, tight stacks. They will chip after 12–18 months of daily dishwasher cycles (that is the service life of crockery in this range), but they are durable through that window. The matte grey finish hides watermarks that would show on glossy white, and it works with both light and dark food.
