Why this plate earns its place
The 260 mm coupe is the Swiss Army plate. Large enough for a full service plating, compact enough to fit tighter table spacing or smaller pass configurations. The flat rim curves gently into a shallow well, which means it handles soups and sauced mains without feeling cramped. The hand-applied edge band gives it texture—each plate is subtly individual in how the band catches light.
Porcelain is the choice for high-turnover venues because stains don't penetrate. A beetroot reduction on teal glaze will wash clean; the same stain on earthenware might ghost. The semi-matte Vellum glaze absorbs rather than reflects, so plating reads richer under warm service lighting. Weight (0.728 kg per plate) is noticeably lighter than the 285 mm while remaining solid in hand.
Stackable and dishwasher safe. At a lower price point than the 285 mm, the 260 mm lets you buy deeper coverage without tying up budget on production plates alone. That flexibility matters when you need spares for breakage and seasonal peaks.
