Why this plate earns its place
A 210 mm plate is the middle ground: too small for a main course, but the right size for a first course, a small appetizer platter, or a plated dessert. The wide rim gives you a plating border, protects the working edge against chipping, and signals to the diner that this is an individual course, not a serving vessel.
Vitrified porcelain fires hard enough to resist the small chipping that breaks earthenware or bone china during bulk dishwashing. These plates are dishwasher and freezer safe, so they can handle rapid cycling in a passthrough wash without degradation, and you can pre-chill them for hot service.
