Why this plate earns its place
At 228 mm, these plates bridge the mid-size role: a full starter portion, a plated dessert, or a supporting course in a formal service sequence. Finest vitrified ceramic absorbs thermal shock and resists chipping from cutlery and direct impact during storage or service. The hand-glazed Norse design creates the visual impression of carved texture through radial lines and hand application, but the in-glaze finish is dense and protective — decoration does not sit proud of the surface where it might chip or accumulate debris.
The added diameter compared to side plates (178 mm) gives substantially more usable surface for presentation and plating technique. Chefs gain room to compose starter portions or desserts with definition, and the white ground reads cleanly under kitchen lighting and across photography.
At 0.516 kg per plate, the weight is noticeable but manageable across a full service. Stackability remains practical: these plates nest efficiently in standard catering storage, and the 12-pack format is familiar to most restaurant and hotel ordering cycles.
