Why this plate earns its place
A mid-sized 217 mm plate designed for starter, dessert or salad courses — the workhorse of a formal table lay. The white glazed porcelain is durable enough for daily high-turnover venues where plates move fast and washing is repetitive. The hand-finished look adds character to a set without requiring a story to sell it — the plate does the job and stays out of the way.
Stacks efficiently at roughly 22 mm per plate, so dishwasher racks and storage shelves fill predictably. The glaze survives a 65 °C passthrough wash without crazing, and the non-porous surface shrugs off tomato, wine and oil stains. Chips are inevitable in heavy service, but they accumulate slowly — porcelain is harder than earthenware, so a busy restaurant can run a 12-pack through 18 months before visible thinning.
