Why this plate earns its place
The 229mm sits between a 192mm side plate and a 265mm dinner plate, making it the working middle ground in mixed-course service. Large enough for a plated starter or dessert without dominating the table space, small enough to nest logically in a full table setting of multiple sizes. The triangular black glaze complements both contemporary and classic plating.
Vitrified porcelain is made for the pace of hospitality. It resists chipping from cutlery contact and does not grey or stain after weeks of heavy use the way softer ceramics do. The fully glazed foot protects whatever sits underneath when stacking — valuable when storage is tight and plates share cabinet with glassware. Passthrough dishwashers run at hot enough temperatures that they would crack inferior ceramics, but vitrified ware handles this as routine.
Microwave safe for reheating plated desserts if required. A pack of twelve is enough for a table of twelve, or rotation depth across multiple tables in a high-turnover service.
