Why this plate earns its place
The textured border effect is achieved through the fusion of multiple reactive glaze tones, creating depth and visual movement on the rim. It's a contemporary take on pattern—clean geometry framing the food, without the ornament feeling busy. The aquamarine colourway works with both neutral and colourful plating. At 210mm with a 20mm wall, these suit smaller courses: starters, desserts, cheese, or any service where the walled rim contains the plate.
Churchill's super-vitrified porcelain body is engineered to resist moisture absorption and retain heat longer than standard ceramics—your hot food stays warmer longer in service. The glazed foot protects against scratching when plates are stacked, whilst the printed underglaze adds a second layer of surface durability. The finest vitrification means these plates stand up to commercial dishwasher cycles, metal marking resistance, and the patina of daily kitchen work. At 0.49 kg per plate, they're light enough for fast service yet carry enough weight to feel quality on the table.
