Why this plate earns its place
A 260mm coupe plate gives you the footprint to build height and weight without looking sparse. At just over 10 inches, it sits between a small main and a sharing platter—large enough for a composed dish with sauce space, still compact enough to fit two across in a tight cover. Super-vitrified ceramic bonds the clay and glaze into one material, leaving it harder and more chip-resistant than earthenware; the finish doesn't glaze over after months in a passthrough washer.
The white field is neutral and reads clean even under kitchen light, letting your plating work carry the visual weight. Stackability is deliberate: the coupe rim is shallow enough that a stack of 12–15 plates moves as one unit without binding, crucial when you're plating to covers and restocking mid-service. Weight per plate is moderate; a full plate rail stays manageable even when you're pulling hard.
Dishwasher cycles at +60 °C leave no visible mark. Abrasive detergents won't strip the glaze because it's chemically fused, not painted. Rims will take their knocks; Churchill's 5-year edge-chip warranty covers that reality and meets you with replacements when damage happens.
