Why this plate earns its place
A 217 mm plate sits between side and dinner size, holding a starter course, main sauce component, or individual plated dessert. The super-vitrified ceramic is stronger than earthenware and resists the chips that build up on busy plates. The underglaze sunburst pattern is fired into the ceramic body and won't fade.
At this diameter you get enough surface for plating detail without the scale of a full dinner plate. The coupe rim nests plates eight to ten deep in a commercial dishwasher rack, so they stack efficiently in storage. The ceramic is fully vitrified at the factory, which means any dishwasher temperature and cycle won't degrade it. A 12-pack covers multiple service stations.
