Why this saucer earns its place
Churchill's Igneous range offers a distinctive alternative to plain white china. The stoneware body is thicker and more tactile than vitrified ceramic, and the subtle embossed pattern with rustic biscuit edge adds visual interest without competing with the food itself.
Stoneware holds heat well, so cups stay warm longer during service. The 165 mm width gives plenty of clearance around a standard teacup and leaves room for a teaspoon. Stackable design means they don't demand unusual storage, and the dishwasher-safe finish survives high-temperature cycles without glaze damage.
Brown stoneware is harder to show stains than white china, a practical gain in venues where crockery does heavy work between washes.
