Why this saucer earns its place
A 15cm saucer is the standard width for a coffee or tea cup. Vitrified stoneware is fired at high temperature to create a surface that resists staining from repeated liquid contact — important for a saucer, which catches spills and sits wet between services.
The Kernow glaze is cool grey with granite speckle. The finish has visual and tactile texture that feels substantial without weight. The saucer is designed to nest under the matching cups, so the footprint is stable and the stack is compact when stored. The glaze is fired into the stoneware, not painted on top, so staining and wear are rare.
A replacement saucer can be ordered separately, which matters in high-volume venues where the saucer takes more abuse than the cup.
