Why this cup earns its place
A 230ml cup sits between espresso (too small) and cappuccino (too big), making it the working size for black coffee service. A filter coffee tops it to 200ml, leaving room to handle without spilling. Americano is the same math — two shots of espresso topped with hot water, filling the cup comfortably without overflow. The black finish is modern and hides wear; the white interior shows the coffee colour clearly.
Stoneware is denser and harder than porcelain, which matters in venues where cups spend half their life on tray edges or clinking together in the dishwasher. The rolled edges absorb impact without creating stress fractures — it's the difference between a cup that lasts a year in heavy service and one that goes to breakage by month three. Microwave-safe if you need to reheat a service pot, dishwasher-safe up to 80 °C cycles, and freezer-safe for storage.
