Why this cup earns its place
These are cappuccino cups sized for espresso-based drinks across a café or hotel service. The 227ml capacity suits the drink and ritual — enough room for milk without drowning the espresso. Porcelain holds temperature and takes the abuse a working service demands.
At 55mm tall, they stack tight for storage and transport. The round profile moves through a passthrough wash without snagging. Dishwasher safe after every service.
Hand-finished black underglaze with an edge band drawn from Churchill's archive homespun collection, featured in the V&A. The look grounds plated food on the table — studied rather than mass-produced. Part of a two-colourway range (charcoal and stone grey).
