Why this cup earns its place
A 355ml cappuccino cup is built for a different guest than the 207ml version: someone ordering a latte, a larger cappuccino, or a cortado with extra milk. The bowl shape — 65mm deep, 105mm wide — holds the volume of steamed milk needed while keeping the espresso proportion correct. Wider than it is deep, the profile cools slightly faster than a tall mug, but porcelain still retains heat through the drink.
At this size, the single-shot-plus-milk ratio shifts: a 30ml espresso in 355ml gives a weaker drink than a cappuccino at 207ml, so these work best for lattes where the milk-to-coffee ratio is meant to be higher. The wider bowl also makes microfoam easier to pour and shape if a café is aiming for latte art.
Porcelain at this weight withstands the thermal cycle from a steam wand to the dishwasher without crazing. The smoke glaze masks the fine marks that accumulate in service, keeping the cup table-ready without constant polishing. Six to a pack lets venues rotate stock through high-cycle dishwashers.
