Why this bowl earns its place
The 70mm tulip bowl sits between a soup bowl and a small serving dish: versatile enough for a small soup course, a side of sauce, vegetables, or garnish. The tulip shape—gently flaring sides—is a Steelite classic: stable when stacked, elegant on the table. The Amari glaze treatment keeps the design honest: delicate pepper flecks and subtle texture, nothing fussy, nothing that competes with the food.
The ceramic is engineered for kitchen realities. Hot soup moving from pass to table to wash creates thermal stress. Steelite's glaze is formulated to resist thermal shock—cracking or chipping won't happen under the temperature swings. Staining from stocks, sauces, and vegetables is resisted too. You get bowls that maintain their white finish through months of service.
At 33mm height and 70mm diameter, the bowl is compact but not cramped. The tulip profile means the food sits centered and visible—important when the dish is part of the plating story. At just 65g each, a dozen packs are light to handle and store. Stackable by design, they compress efficiently in back-of-house storage.
