Why this bowl earns its place
The 185mm bowl sits between tableware and serving kit. It's the right size for salads, hot vegetables, soups and sauces that need to travel—from pass to table without looking undersized. Super vitrified ceramic holds heat longer than earthenware and resists the thermal shock of moving between kitchen and hot pass.
Each bowl weighs 465g and is deliberately thick at the base. That density does two things: it absorbs heat so the bowl stays warm in the hand, and it survives the repeated heats and colds of service without crazing. The hand-decorated matte finish hides dust and minor marks between washes. The triangular geometry looks more contemporary than the round alternatives without adding cost or complexity.
Stack them upside down in a pass-through dishwasher; they're dense enough to be stable even when cascading spray hits from above. Stonecast is made in the UK and finished by hand, so each piece carries minor variations in glaze that add character rather than subtract from it. That character is why this range survives in kitchens while commodity crockery rotates in and out.
