Why this bowl earns its place
A 182 mm round bowl sits comfortably as an individual course — sauces, sides, small portions or soup courses. The coupe shape (gently curved, no rim) is the standard format for commercial bowls and gives a simple, intentional look to any table setting. These bowls work in pubs and cafés as much as fine-dining venues, which is partly why the rustic terracotta finish appeals across different restaurant styles.
The super-vitrified ceramic construction is what makes durability stick in fast-turnover settings. The material is fired at higher temperatures than standard tableware, which fuses the clay completely and creates a surface that is much harder and more resistant to the fine cracks (crazing) and rim chips that age cheaper bowls quickly. Even after months of daily service, you will not see the dulling and damage markers that force stock replacement in venues using standard ceramics.
The underglaze decoration is applied before firing, so it is locked into the ceramic itself and will not fade under any commercial dishwasher cycle. The hand-applied edge band is reinforced to protect the rim — the highest-impact point in stacking and service. At 182 mm and weighing 0.426 kg per bowl, they are light enough for fast handling but substantial enough to feel quality in hand. A pack of twelve covers most single-service rotations and stacks efficiently in commercial dishwashers.
