Why this bowl earns its place
These 182mm serving bowls are the workhorse of a busy kitchen's plating line. Built from super-vitrified ceramic, they stack tight and survive repeated service cycles without chipping or crazing—each piece hand-touched in the glaze stage, so no two are identical. The deep purple patina finish reads premium enough for front-of-house display but is engineered for back-of-house abuse: they go through a commercial dishwasher unchanged.
At 182mm diameter, the bowl holds a full service's worth of sauce, dressing, or sides without crowding the plating station. The coupe shape is steep enough to prevent spillage when moving between stations, gentle enough to cradle a spoon. Twelve per pack means you've always got backups in the wash.
The patina surface hides the wear that shows on plain glazes. Stonecast Patina is named for the antique tones and texture created by natural aging—the glaze technique mimics that effect at the kiln stage. In a kitchen where fresh stock rotates daily, that subtle variation reads as character, not defect.
