Why this bowl earns its place
A 195mm bowl sits at the serving stage, not the individual plate. It's large enough to portion family-style appetisers, shared sides, or dessert components for 6–8 guests before plating down. Porcelain is harder than fine china; the vitrified glaze bonds at high temperature, making it resistant to chip damage from tongs, spoons or serving equipment. The round shape and neutral white glaze work for starter bowls, vegetable sides, salads, or plated components awaiting final assembly.
Stack tightly in cupboards or on mobile racks. Twelve per pack nest into a compact footprint, and the round body with even weight distribution means no wobbling or binding as you pull one from the middle of the stack. The glazed foot runs full circumference, preventing marks on white linens during tableside service or on pass shelves during plating.
Commercial passthrough dishwashers push these through 65–80 °C cycles; the full glaze coverage and chip-resistant edge withstand daily washing without degradation. Many venues run 195mm bowls for two or three services daily, from breakfast fruit to dinner vegetable courses. The 7.5 kg per bowl (in a 12-pack) suggests solid construction — not lightweight crockery that feels cheap or breaks easily.
