Why this bowl earns its place
The 10cm bowl is the modern finishing tool: amuse portions, a side of romesco or oil, a single portion of granita, or the garnish course at a tasting menu. Twenty centilitres is small enough to signal intentionality and large enough to hold a real component without spilling at service. Vitrified stoneware gives it weight and presence — it sits solid on a plate, doesn't rattle or feel hollow. The material is non-porous, so concentrated flavours (vinegars, aromatics) don't stain or transfer, and the chip-resistant body means it survives multiple cycles from pass through dishwash in the same stack as full-size plates.
The granite speckle glaze is the visual anchor. Cool grey is contemporary and restraint-driven — it frames what's served inside without competing. The small footprint means tight stacking; you can nest six or eight in a prep area without bulk.
