Energy label decoder
Your fridge sends you a bill every day it is plugged in.
Enter the energy class and the kWh from any spec sheet. See the real annual, daily and five-year running cost — and the efficient replacement that would pay for itself. Uses Craven’s documented energy convention.

How the cost is worked out
- Running cost = kWh per year × your electricity rate. Default £0.25/kWh (2026); change it to your tariff.
- Per day = annual ÷ 365, because refrigeration runs continuously. Five-year = annual × 5.
- Saving compares your figure with the newer-unit kWh you enter — nothing is assumed until you give a comparison.
- Payback on a replacement = its ex VAT price ÷ your annual saving. Browse the range.

An estimate from the figures you enter, at the tariff you set, ex VAT. It does not include stock loss, servicing, finance or usage variation. Payback is energy-only and assumes the saving you enter holds.
